The Q15 studio monitor is the flagship of the Q-Series line. This monitor was designed to deliver massive sound. The system is capable of filling a large room with undeniable audio. It delivers 1000 watts of continuous power to the woofer and 200 watts of continuous power to the horn, 2000 watts and 400 watts of peak power. That's an astounding 2400 watts of peak power. 

Features a coaxial transducer with a 15" LF driver and a real high frequency horn compression driver that can reach amazing sound pressure levels of >117 dB — ridiculously loud before distortion. It's no surprise that the pop/hip hop crowd have embraced this monitor. From Christina Aguilera to Diddy, the Q15 has been shaking walls. While we do have a few enthusiastic users that are actually using Q15s as nearfield monitors, they are 96 pounds each and have a footprint of 21" square and are unlikely to fit on any meter bridge. The high SPL combined with the coaxial design and Zero-Point Reference approach, makes the Q15 best suited for mid-field or far-field use. With that being said, the Q15 was origninally conceived as a main monitor system.

 

Included is the Equator Control software application that enables a mix engineer to manually compensate for acoustic anomalies such as issues created by speaker placement and boundary conditions within the listening environment. Along with the environmental compensation, this included software also provides extraordinary control over the monitors — including equalization, mute, solo, and phase.
